Registering at one of our practices couldn’t be easier; simply click here and complete the 'Register with us' form.

Please note: to complete your registration you will need to visit the surgery with some form of identification, preferably your passport, and proof of your address, for example, a utility bill or bank statement. You may also be asked to fill in some additional lifestyle information so we can make sure we are offering the most appropriate care for you.

Please noteour reception team is available to take your calls from 08.00am to 18.00pm Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours registered patients can use our automated service to book, change or cancel appointments and order repeat prescriptions.

order a repeat prescription?

To make ordering repeat prescriptions even easier we have set up an on-line ordering system. To order your prescription simply click here. To be able to use this service you will first have to register with SystmOnline. To find out your username and password for SystmOnline please contact The Light Surgery on 0113 242 7425 and just ask one of our reception team. 

find out my test results?

Following a blood or urine test the results are usually available after five working days. Please contact our reception team on 0113 242 7425 between 2.00pm and 4.00pm to check if the results are back first before booking an appointment.

X-ray results and other tests can take between 2-4 weeks to be sent back to us. Again, please check with reception first. 

find my nearest pharmacy?

Simply click here and type your postcode in to the search bar to find your nearest pharmacy. 

use the texting service (MJOG)?

To register for the MJOG service you simply need to provide reception with your up to date mobile phone number. Then you will be able to access a range of services including:

- Booking appointments 

- Cancelling Appointments  
- Changing Appointments 
- Repeat Prescriptions 
- Simple none clinical and general questions 

On booking an appointment you will automatically receive a text reminder. This happens 24 hours prior to the appointment time. If you cannot make this appointment simply text back the word ‘cancel’ and that is exactly what we will do. Texting means you can communicate with the practice 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
